The Franklin Art Department would like to thank all of guests that were able to visit The Gallery for the grand opening.
We feel that the show was a success. In the new space we were able to display a piece from each student PreK-4, including 3Dimensional work, and also incorporate work from the Teen Arts and YAM Show. The turn out of visitors was excellent including family members, staff, and students.
The Art Department would like to thank the Franklin Education Foundation for funding the project with the grant received. We would also like to thank the custodians that were amazing with their support in constructing and achieving the vision of Mrs. Johnson & Mrs. Huffman.

Wish GRANTED
The Franklin Art Department was recently awarded two Grants by the school's board to aid in expanding our "Afternoon of the Arts" show in the spring, and maintaining our existing RAD website!
We are looking forward to transforming the school's 'old girls' gym into our first Franklin Art Gallery. Everyone can NOW look forward to experiencing art in a more professional setting. Things to look forward to are: A Gallery Opening reception, Gallery hours, 2D and 3D art displays by students and staff, and two Family Art nights.
The Art department is also looking forward to using new technology that was also awarded to us. Advanced Art students will have the privilege of using our new department digital camera to capture students’ works to post on our web site. In addition, all art students will have the opportunity to print out professional images and graphic designs on our new Laser Color printer!
Mrs. Huffman and Mrs. Johnson are very thankful for the things to come. We look forward to seeing you at the new Gallery and continue to receive positive responses regarding our website.
